ABOUT ME

Hi,

I'm Simon Cook, owner operator of Around the Bend Driver Training.

I have been a driving instructor since 2020. 

I am qualified to teach both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.

My previous career was in the heavy vehicle industry both in the UK and in NZ.  I have over 40 years experience with everything from small cars to large trucks. 

MY PHILOSOPHY

I believe that learning to drive safely and confidently is one of the most valuable skills a young person is ever likely to learn.    

I provide professional, thorough and friendly training for every learner, with a relaxed and supportive teaching style, to ensure each student has all the skills required for undertaking the restricted and full licence driving tests.

I am patient and friendly with a good sense of humour.  Whether you are a nervous beginner or a confident, quick off the mark, experienced learner, I will tailor each lesson to meet your individual needs.
